Icon Expo with Coach Gene Stallings

At the conclusion of the 1996 season, Coach Gene Stallings announced his retirement from the University of Alabama. One of legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant’s favorite coaching sons, Stallings was named Alabama’s 22nd head football coach Jan. 11, 1990. In seven years, Stallings directed the Crimson Tide to one National Championship [1992], one SEC Championship, four SEC Western Division titles and six post-season bowl appearances. His on-the-field coaching record stands as 70-16-1 [.810], a winning percentage fourth in Alabama history. A graduate of Texas A&M, Stallings spent a total of 14 years as a college head coach with an overall collegiate record of 97-61-2. His newly released book, Another Season, describes the love he has for his son who was born with Downs Syndrome. Stallings has received several humanitarian awards and was selected as 1992 National Coach of the Year. NCMA/ICPI Safety & DESIGN Awards Banquet

Join us to honor the winners of the NCMA/ICPI Design Awards of Excellence and the winners of the NCMA/ICPI Safety Awards. This great networking event will include dinner, followed by recognition of the NCMA and ICPI member production facilities with the best recordable-injury rates. Finally, the evening will culminate with recognition of the best concrete masonry and hardscape projects and the architects who designed and built them.
NCMA/ICPI Block & Paver Plant Tour

This year's plant tour will take place at the Landstone in Terre Haute and Shuster Building Products in Indianapolis. Landstone is located in a new all-split-block building and its equipment includes a base mixer, a face mixer for paving stones with face-mix, a full board machine for pavers, SRW & block, a large curing room with a handling system and inline splitting, stretch wrapper and strapping. As plant tour attendees watch, Landstone will demonstrate a quick mold change from standard block to pavers. Schuster's Building Products is a manufacturer of architectural products including architectural block,stone, concrete pavers, veneer brick & walls, and segmental retaining walls.
